Coats Dabond is a bonded, twisted continuous filament polyester thread. Combining superior sewing performance with excellent UV and abrasion protection, Coats Dabond is specifically designed to provide resistance against harsh weather making it an excellent thread for outdoor use. Dabond is most notably used in the manufacturing of sails and other outdoor and marine applications (Sail making, Awnings, Outdoor pursuits, sports equipment, Military applications and Marine applications. Unlike conventional polyester bonded threads, Dabond has exceptional bond cohesion, giving it excellent sewing properties even in the toughest of conditions.

Bonded Nylon is made of a high-strength bonded nylon material. This sewing yarn is tough, abrasion resistant and durable. It is great for indoor and outdoor use.
Bonded Nylon is the popular choice to use when stitching upholstery, leather, vinyl and other heavy fabric. Superior’s Bonded Nylon is Nylon 6,6 (sometimes referred to as Nylon 66) which is stronger and has a higher heat tolerance than regular Nylon threads. The bonding agent which coats the Nylon 6,6 fibers give this thread added strength and reduces friction at the needle resulting in smooth stitches.
